This Is What Happened In Church A Couple of Weeks Ago...

The girl who was speaking said this:

"A few years ago my parents had a little Spanish girl living with them. She was from Mexico."

Why did that happen? If a girl is from Mexico, is she not a Mexican?

Good question actually. I live in the USA and evidently I'm not "American." Because of my latin roots, I'm "Hispanic." Maybe that girl has roots going back to Spain.

At least she wasn't referred to as an illegal "alien."

Well, I think the determining factor is, did she speak Spanish or Mexican?
